What Can I Do For You
About
A Type I Diabetic, herself, Marianne Tetlow has lived with Diabetes for more than 33 years. She has experienced firsthand the unique emotional and physical struggles a PWD (Person With Diabetes) encounters throughout various phases of life – including coping with diagnosis, handling teenage struggles, managing honesty and communication with parents and family, and even navigating a safe pregnancy as an adult T1 woman.
Her own experiences managing diabetes coupled with her natural passion for helping others led Marianne to launch The Diabetes Coach, a consultancy dedicated to supporting and educating others living with diabetes.
Since her diagnosis in 1986, Marianne has worked with her own team of doctors, endocrinologists, certified diabetes educators, dieticians, nutritionists and trainers. She attended diabetic camps in Texas and Tennessee as a child and later returned as a counselor to help support and mentor youth living with diabetes. As a Certified Life Coach & Nutritionist, she continues to counsel families touched by all types of diabetes, and is an active advocate and public speaker on behalf of diabetes research, education and fundraising.
